In 2017, the Pallister Conservatives closed the Urgent Care facility at the Misericordia Hospital. Now residents of Wolseley who require urgent medical attention must go the Victoria Hospital Urgent Care (9 km south of the Miz) or the overburdened Health Science Centre Emergency Ward (4 km north of the Miz).
Urgent Care wards take the strain off Emergency Wards – freeing them to handle life-threatening illnesses. The Conservatives have closed emergency wards and removed urgent care services from our community.
As your MLA, Dave will fight to return our Urgent Care facility to the Misericordia Hospital, and for health care policies that meet our needs.
